| Comment | It's time to take climate change seriously.
Make California a healthier place to live. Help California become a
leader in new green technology and green jobs. CARB has many
policies to help the state reach its goals.
Reduce emissions to 1990 levels by 2020.
Keep the proposal strong. Set a limit that declines each year. Set
a minimum price on carbon pollution. These help business to make
long-term investments, not only think about short-term gain.
China is investing in high speed rail and green technology - we
must be competitive in green energy. Will they be the leaders or
California?
Do not give permits away for free. This program needs to be
strengthened. It's logical to require California's largest
polluters to pay for the emissions. Do not give these permits away
for free! Then re-invest this into efforts that help transition us
to a cleaner economy.
Thank you and happy holidays,
John Hamiga
