| Comment | While it's commendable to reduce greenhouse gas, it should not be
done to the financial detriment of California citizens. By setting
an extreme target number of 10 or 15 percent, you are guaranteeing
additional financial hardship at a time when the population is
already vulnerable. I don't want to pay higher fees or higher gas
costs and I really don't want to leave the state. I also don't
believe I'm alone in these desires.
A 5 percent reduction is a doable goal, 15 percent is not.
Please view this realistically and also realize there are other
ways to combat global warning. In fact, on NPR the other day they
cited a finding that if every roof in the world was painted white
it would do more to reverse global warning than any other single
measure.
