The State continues to waste revenue on ideologically-motivated
projects while roads and bridges crumble. You are not serving the
citizens of California generally but are directing money to favored
insider groups. The most egregious example is the failed High Speed
Rail Plan, which was sold to voters under false pretenses, and is
perpetuated through vast expenditures far beyond the original
projected costs. Californians don't benefit from these pipe dreams,
unless they are in the favored groups that have the most political
influence. The move to zero emissions through subsidizing electric
vehicles and banning the sale of petroleum-fueled equipment is
nonsensical. People will obtain the cars and trucks they desire
elsewhere. It will further drag down the economy to inflict such
tyrannical edicts that lay more costs on families and businesses.
Furthermore, when the state has reached the limit on what the
electric grid can produce, it makes no sense to be increasing
electricity demand by mandating all electric transportation. It
would be enlightening to know just what CARB defines as 'feasible.'
