| Comment | I belong to the CLCA. Contrary to what most of my colleagues
think, I wonder why the new law to outlaw gas-powered engines
hasn't come sooner? Grass lawns are an extreme waste of water and
the labor to maintain such is a total waste of manpower. I suggest
replacing all grass lawns with native plants which are drought
tolerant and sequester carbon better than grass could ever do.
Native plants sequester carbon and keep it in the soil by
encouraging mycorrhizal fungi to build out its structure made of
carbon and keeping it in the soil, not in the air. Native plants
are also food factories for pollinators and promote bio-diversity
which is essential to the well-being of the soil food web for our
planet.
