| Comment | Save the Electric Car
It would meet my day-to-day travel requirements.
Less expensive to purchase, maintain & fuel than the
existing subcompact cars.
Possibly safer – reduced risk of fires & explosions from
accidents.
Decrease my burden of increasing gasoline costs.
Conserve fossil fuels for future generations.
Decrease our demand of foreign oil decreasing the risk to
soldiers overseas.
Promote development of alternative electric energy
technologies
Contribute less to the destruction of the environment. It
would be easier to monitor and regulate green house gases emissions
from electric energy production easier than combustion automobile
engines. Although the pollution from vehicles are modest in
comparison to air travel one must take into account the energy
consumed and the pollution emitted by oil refineries to produce
fuel.
Reduce the risk of injury and death many young men and
women face in the Middle East
Plus purchase incentives could be offered to EV owners:
• Cheaper licensing & parking fees.
• Cheaper Insurance cost.
As a disabled senior I hope to be able to puchase a North
American EV rather than pay for one imported from China; we are
exporting car manufacturing from Canada and the United States and
imports are taking over our automotive market.
