Since construction equipment is the second largest source of diesel
pollution in California and because air pollution has serious
health and environmental consequences, I strongly urge you to
approve this regulation.  It will reduce health impacts from air
pollution and, by so doing, it will improve the quality of life
for many Californians - especially in some of the most polluted
parts of the state, like the Los
Angeles/Long Beach air basin and the San Joaquin Valley.
