Comment | I am emailing to ask for a better stance moving forward with forcing fishing boats to comply with future emission restrictions. I want you think of it like this: your current job is changing but to remain employed and bringing money to your family you are required to go back to school. Not just a few courses, but for 2 years. While you're doing that, you don't get paid and your job with CARB ceases to exist. Oh and you have to pay for 100% of your courses, CARB will not help you pay. Oh another thing, when you complete school it's not guaranteed that your new job will be there. I think the future restrictions are thoughtful about the environment, but those rules don't think about helping the people in and around these communities. I'm not a fishing company, but I understand the rigors of owning and operating a company. Just think about the restaurants, hotels, and other businesses that benefit for our lovely coasts. I believe the state should think about aiding and assisting these fishing companies to rig up their boats per CARBs demands. If these fishing companies can't comply that's lost revenue to areas like San Diego. It's not just one area you are harming. Please pass this on abs at anything help these fishing companies with the costs to comply. Thank you! |
