My family and I have all grown up fishing the coast of California.
I've spent nearly my entire adult life dreaming of taking my own
kids fishing and to see it trying to be taken away is very
upsetting. My whole family is heavily involved in the fishing
community with many friends who will be put out of work and several
who have spent there entire lives building a career to finally buy
a boat and fulfill a dream of running their own boat and business.
They were already hit so hard dealing with the covid closures and
now with unfeasible requirements from your department dreams and
livelihoods are truly being shattered.
My heart truly breaks thinking I will no longer be able to fish
with my friends and family.  At the very least there should be
technology developed that would allow the these requirements to be
enacted and made affordable for those who already operate on a
tight budget.
