| Comment | Mr. Chairman and governing board,
I am writing to you today to pleed with you please include a
mechanism for school bus replacement funding in the Moyer program.
As I am sure you well know, the level of funding currently
available represents only about 15% of the total cost of a new
school bus. This level of funding prohibits most, if not all
districts from replacing these old highly polluting school buses.
Science now tells us that children are more susceptible to the
health impacts of PM 10. We need your help and support for the
health and future of our school age children who ride these old
highly polluting school buses on a daily basis.
