Please do not destroy the sport fishing boats, landings, etc.,
because my late husband and myself spent many happy days/nights
fishing on the ocean out of Long Beach, San Diego, and Ventura.  It
gave my husband a real pleasure to go out on 10 day trips and
appreciate the waters and sea life.  Plus, we had a lot of
delicious fish to eat and share.  A lot of young people can be out
on the water and appreciate the beauty of nature, the sea life, and
the tremendous powers of the sea and great camaraderie that is
found on a fishing boat.  Yes, the fishing boats need to be
upgraded for environmental purposes, but there must be some other
way to save the industry rather than completely getting rid of it.
