| Comment | Hello. As an owner of a hybrid which would be much more effective
if it were a plug in electric ( most of my driving is within 6
miles of my home, and my hybrid takes at least 2-3 miles to go
100% electric). Our town (San Luis Obispo) installed plug in
stalls in most shopping center and public parking lots years ago
thinking that the California Air Resources Board would hold fast
to its prior requirement for electric vehicles, which never
happened. Those stalls sit empty, ready for electric vehicles, as
there is only one in time to use those spots. As a concerned
citizen, I urge you to hold the Detroit auto makers to the
currently existing requirements mandating them to produce electric
vehicle at the currently required level or higher. California has
the opportunity to lead the nation in requiring alternative and
more environmentally friendly automobiles. Given our lack of
adequate public transportation and suburban and urban sprawl in
this state, we owe it to turn a new leaf.
