| Comment | Hello,
I returned from Iraq in 2016. I was set up in Balboa Hospital
while they processed me out for debilitated traumatic stress. There
was nothing for us to do there except wait for our discharge. A few
sports fishing companies offered members of the wounded warrior
battalion free fishing trips. This was a monumental privilege that
kept many Marines and sailors from taking a fatal amount of some
medication or another. I still enjoy fishing on these boats today.
If the regulations sought are put in place, these boating companies
will not be able to offer service members a cost free experience
that could save their lives or minds. They cannot afford to operate
under the regulations while maintaining a decent price. If
California leadership is truly about inclusivity, they should not
push the cost of these activities above a level that would be
unrealistic for vulnerable or less wealthy to enjoy. If they care
about small business, don't make it to where only large companies
can afford to operate in this state. |
