Sample text: As someone who lives and works in [insert city or
county] I urge the Air Resources Board to adopt the
staff-recommended draft targets. Many people have worked very hard
to develop these targets and we commend the ARB and many others for
their diligence and leadership on this issue.

SB 375 and its implementation, provides a great opportunity for
California to take another big step towards improved transportation
and land use coordination. It provides opportunities for regions
to maximize the promised benefits that come along with this
improved coordination, such as: more sustainable economic
development, cleaner air and improved public health, and more
walkable and bikable neighborhoods, with safe routes to school for
students and their families. Thank you for your efforts.

I am a bicycle pedestrian planner with a non-profit called
Sustainable Streets, working in LA County, one of the largest
non-attainment zones. By providing cycling and pedestrian safety
education, promoting walking and biking through Safe Routes to
School, fitness clubs, and other programs, and by helping schools,
campuses, churches and employers promote alternatives to drive
alone travel, we have changed the travel behavior of many in Los
Angeles County. These changes have been achieved for very low cost
in grant support to our organization, while providing innumerable
benefits to the health, safety and livability of communities. This
is the direction California needs to explore in the future, not
more highways to worsen our traffic, air quality, and level of
obesity and stress.
