To whom it may concern,

I would like to lend my support to the women owned worker-run
cooperative BioFuel Oasis in seeking the CARB Alternative Fuel
grant.  

This business not only provides biodiesel at the only public pump
in the Bay Area they also shine as a alternative business model
far beyond Berkeley, California.  The owners' dedication to
alternative fuels is only matched by their dedication to serving
the community through education about the benefits of locally
sourced biodiesel made from recycled vegetable oil. In addition to
purchasing biodiesel for my personal vehicle from BioFuel Oasis for
the past three years I have volunteered many hours of my time
because as a member I believe it is a community project and not
just a business.

The CARB grant will allow the needed relocation and extended hours
of operation of the BioFuel Oasis, making biodiesel more readily
available to Berkeley residents like myself as well as travelers
on the I-80 corridor. Their current location is often overwhelmed
with members causing traffic problems and long waits.  Extending
the hours of operation will provide members like myself with more
opportunities to fill up with biodiesel and not have to use
dino-diesel.

Please support the BioFuel Oasis with the requested grant.
