I am writing to ask you to grant Berkeley Biofuel Oasis the funds
they have requested.  They are the only convenient place for me to
get biodiesel and if they are able to get their new location, they
will be even more accessible to people.  I believe that it is very
important for us to reduce our reliance on foreign oil.  Not is
biofuel lower in carbon emissions, but the Biofuel Oasis also uses
locally recycled vegetable oil, which from an ecological standpoint
is far superior than using ethanol which is derived from corn,
creating a monoculture in the midwest, that then has to be shipped
to California.  I believe that the women at Berkeley Biofuel Oasis
are providing a very important service to all those living in the
Bay area and beyond and I implore you to find the funds to keep
them going.
