I'm writing in support for Biofuel Oasis in Berkeley:

Biodiesel fuel is a really great product for Berkeley.  There are
many diesel vehicles, primarily the Mercedes 240's and 300's, as
well as Volkswagen models throughout the City - and people are
looking for a way to make them environmentally viable.  People
here know about biodiesel and want to use it.

Biofuel Oasis's proposed, new fuel station is much more central
and convenient to Berkeley residents than the existing station. 
The existing station is at the edge of town, very difficult to get
to, as Berkeley has near-gridlock crosstown traffic at various
times during the day.  The new location, Ashby at Sacramento, is
centrally located.  

Actual vehicle access is convenient at the new station vs. very
difficult and tedious at the existing station. The existing
station is located in a light industrial tilt-up building, with
one-at-a-time vehicle access.  A customer has to drive in and back
out.  At the new station, cars can drive through, increasing
accessibility and function.

The new location will be more accessible to regional users, not
just Berkeley users, given the easily accessible location and
drive-through functionality of the new site.

I think Biofuel Oasis needs just a little help to create an
effective new fuel station that will really make a difference.  I
hope this grant can do that.
