Subject | BioFuel Oasis biodiesel fueling station in Berkeley |
Comment | Greetings, It is very important that you fund BioFuel Oasis' proposed fueling station in Berkeley. They have been operating for over 3 years now on a shoestring budget in what amounts to a storage locker on 4th Street, and making it possible for them to take over an actual "gas station" will give them visibility and allow faster fueling for their ever-growing customer base. A few important facts: * BioFuel Oasis has a successful record of supplying biodiesel for over 3 years and is the only place to buy biodiesel at a public pump in the Bay Area. * The new location will make biodiesel much more accessible, not only to the Bay Area, but to travelers on the busy I-80 corridor. * BioFuel Oasis is a small, locally-owned and women-owned business with the money staying in the state and local community. * They strive to get biodiesel made as locally as possible from recycled vegetable oil. For the past year, all the biodiesel they've sold has been made in California from recycled vegetable oil. * The use of biodiesel translates into lower carbon dioxide/greenhouse gas emissions and lower particulates, which means cleaner air and less global warming. Many thanks for your attention to this matter. Respectfully submitted, Jeff Phillips 1123 Glen Drive San Leandro, CA 94577 |
