Supporting the BioFuel Oasis in this grant means that they will be
able to expand not only their hours, but also their facilities,
which will help them to reach more customers. They are currently
the only place to buy biodiesel at a public pump in the Bay Area.
They are a locally owned and operated business; so all profits
made are staying in the State of California. They also work hard
to make sure that all the recycled vegetable oil used to make
biodiesel comes from within California and they have been
successful in doing that for the last year. Local businesses help
California grow.

My personal reasons for switching to using biodiesel is that I do
not want to be dependant on foreign oil, not to mention that using
biodiesel results in lower carbon dioxide/greenhouse gas emissions
and lower particulates. This all translates to cleaner air and
less global warming. 

The BioFuel Oasis is a gem among many profit driven corporations.
They simply offer biodiesel at a reasonable price because they
believe in it and want to make it publicly available. If they were
not in business, I would not have been able to make the switch to a
more environmentally sound lifestyle. Supporting the BioFuel Oasis
is promotes sound business, both environmentally and politically.
I hope you thoroughly reconsider your allocation of funds. The
BioFuel Oasis is not only a business it is an environmentally
conscious lifestyle.
