I want to write in strong support of the BioFuel Oasis' application
for CARB grant support.  I have used their services for nearly 3
years in two diesel vehicles, and I've been pleased to know that
my use of biodiesel contributes to lower particulates than
traditional diesel and is made mostly of recycled vegetable oil. 
In addition, this small cooperative business is supporting the
local Berkeley community and is clearly catching on.  Every time I
go to fill up at their single pump, the line for fuel seems to be
longer and longer. Having a full time, multi-pump operation in a
more convenient Berkeley location will make the benefits of
biodiesel more readily available to Bay Area residents.  I enjoy
fuel economy of 36-40 miles per gallon driving a city cycle in my
VW Passat, and see nearly 50 mpg in highway driving, while
reducing dependence on petroleum.  I hope you will be able to lend
your support to the BioDiesel Oasis' request for CARB funding.
