| Comment | Dear CARB Board, My name is Monica. I am life-long San Ysidro resident, a board member of the San Diego Parks Foundation and the Development & Social Impact Officer for Casa Familiar. I want to express my support and the dire need for San Diego's international border communities to be selected for this round of AB617 communities. San Ysidro is the border community directly adjacent to the Tijuana, Mexico border. Our community is greatly impacted by high levels of air pollution directly linked to the long border waiting lines at the busiest land port of entry to and from the United States. People from our community suffer from a disproportionate amount of asthma cases and other breathing-related issues. Thats why it is crucial for border communities to be selected for AB617. |
