| Comment | I would like voice my support for the selection of the San Ysidro/Otay Mesa community region for addition into the AB617 programs. This border region is a significant and growing land port of entry for the state and country, for both commercial and industrial freight. The surrounding community of professional and working class residents need to have their health and safety considered for our region to continue to grow and thrive. CARBs programs have provided reliable and invaluable data to help measure and identify unseen risk to the region. My family has had the pleasure to be part of this community over several generations and we would all love to see an increased investment in measuring the effects pollution. With additional programs in place through CARB, we can assure the growth of our economy sustainably and improve the health of my community well into the future. |
