On behalf of Numi Organic Tea, I urge you to adopt the proposed
Advanced Clean Truck rule. As a corporate citizen, we are
supportive of collaborative measures that move to decarbonize the
transportation sector, as they strengthen our ability to operate
sustainably over the long term. And as a California headquartered
company, we see increased and expeditious electrification of
medium- and heavy-duty vehicles not only as an economic opportunity
- we see it as necessary to meet our financial and sustainability
goals as well as being a climate and public health imperative. By
accelerating the decarbonization of the medium- and heavy-duty
transportation sector, this rule will pave the way for Numi, and
those in our value chain, to cost effectively reduce air pollution
and climate emissions.

Furthermore, we acknowledge that the burden of poor air quality
disproportionately falls on disadvantaged communities along transit
corridors, such as I-880. It is fundamentally unjust to not take
action to reverse this troubling and discrimanatory pattern with
all available tools, including and especially accelerating the just
transition to zero emissions fleets.
