Dear CARB Board members;
My thanks and gratitude to everyone in the ARB for your efforts in
bringing this important evolutionary change to our airport air
quality management. I am wholly in favor of the proposed
zero-emission shuttle regulation.
Given our climate change predicament; I urge the Board to consider
tightening the deadline for completing these requirements. Compared
to other challenges facing us; the equipment is at hand to
accomplish this must faster than laid out in the proposal. I
suggest all could be in place progressively until 2030 at the
latest. This fits with the UN IPCC report, which states that we
have this decade within which to enact meaningful major fossil fuel
reductions; after which the cumulative effects of such reductions
will have less of the desired effects..
