I am writing you to express my concern with proposed CARB
regulations that will effect sport fishing boats across California
and put most of them out of business. California's sport fishing
industry is unique and found no where else in the country. This
industry allows the average Californian access to some of the best
saltwater fishing in the world at a price they can afford. If you
allow regulations to destroy the sport fishing industry the only
Californians who will be able to access this saltwater fishery will
be the extremely wealthy who can afford to charter private boats or
purchase their own.  Additionally this sportfishing industry
creates thousands good jobs and significant economic impact
locally. Most of these boats are the corner stone of small family
businesses that we cannot afford to lose. Commercial fishing boats
will not be subject to these proposed regulations, I urge you to
apply the same logic to sportfishing boats and spare them from
these regulations as well.
