To Whom It May Concern,

I have spent my entire life fishing on local sport fishing boats in
Southern California.  The earliest memories I have are fishing with
my father on a 1/2 day boat out of Long Beach.  

I have continued that by taking my two daughters out with me on
trips and they absolutely love it. 

If the proposed Tier 4 engines/exhaust systems are implemented, you
will be destroying an industry that has brought countless people
joy over generations.  

It will put out of business nearly every single boat up and down
the coast which will have a ripple effect for local tackle shops,
then hotels, restaurants, bars, airlines, etc. for passengers
coming in from out of town to go on longer trips.

I agree something should be done, however I feel that utilizing the
current tier 3 requirements and a deadline years down the road to
allow for boat owners to begin saving funds for the over haul would
be a mutually agreeable outcome.
