I have been a California resident my entire life, 59 years. I have
been Sportfishing on the ocean since 1978. Fishing has been a great
recreational activity for myself, family and friends. I have been
involved with the special needs community since 1993. I am av39
year retired police officer . I know how important fishing is for
our youth and disabled communities. I am begging carb to reconsider
the tier 4 requirement for sport fishing vessels. Allow them tier 3
so they can stay I business and your citizens can continue to enjoy
fishing at a reasonable price. The Sportfishing community has
cooperated with the various fishing closures and regulations and it
is time that they are given requirements that are reasonable. I
can't understand how the hundreds of tanker ships that traverse
California waters will not be required to meet the tier 4
requirement but our small Sportfishing fleet will be decimated out
of business and thousands of people out of work. This will be like
throwing a rock I a pond the ripples will last a long time and
numerous other California businesses will suffer. Tackle, sporting
goods, fish mongers, mechanics the list goes on and on. I love this
state. I am a life tie Democrat I understand global warming but we
have to clean our environment in a responsible manner or we will
lose the people. Thank you for your time
