| Comment | Please modify the emission requirements for existing sportfishing vessels so that they will not be forced out of service. I applaud efforts to protect environment and clean air and support strict emission standards for new vessels coming into service. However for the existing sportfishing fleet to come into compliance would be cost prohibitive and sometimes technically impossible forcing many boat owners out of business. For fifty years I have fished on these boats and fear if the proposed regulations go into effect I and many like me will no longer be able to afford to go fishing. It will become a rich persons sport reserved for the elite. Please save our sportfishing industry. |
