Please consider the repercussions upon on the ocean sport-fishing
community when deciding how to move forward on Amendments to the
Commercial Harbor Craft Regulations. I am a supporter of clean
air/water, but as with most industries, sport-fishing in California
has taken a negative financial hit due to COVID. 

Sport-fishing is an amazing activity for tourist and locals, alike.
An outdoor activity for family and friends to build memories. Most
people fishing will remember their first caught Calico Bass caught
with her dad, or the biggest Bluefin Tuna three college friends
from Iowa took turns reeling in, or the surreal sight of a pod of
dolphins 2 football fields wide. 

Your actions could cripple the sport-fishing boats that cater to
friends, families, and tourists looking to make these life-long
memories.

Now is not the time to sideline sport-fishing boats. Until an
affordable way for boats adhere to new regulations is available, I
ask you to consider carefully what amendments you choose to move
forward.
