Hello,
My name is mark miller, I've sport fished socal on open party boats
since 1975. I feel greatly enriched for the experience and thru my
children and scouts. Think making sport fishing inaccessable to
future generations will rob them of the memories and good times
like I and my family/ scouts have had. The boats are running green
diesels and they are a very tiny part of overall transport.
Meanwhile 100s of cargo ships burn fuel oil and at idle, per the LA
times, each ship emits 100,000 cars worth of air pollution per
hour. I hope the board considers all the hard work the party boat
owners have done to be in compliance to be clean and accept what
they have done. By far the worst polluters are the cargo ships, I'm
not sure what can be done to make them better, but they should be
the focus. They could improve alot I would think. Thank you.
