The proposed amendments will not only destroy small fishing
businesses but also reserve sprts fishing to only the wealthy with
private vessels. 

At a minimum, existing vessels and powerplants should be exempt to
preserve fishing options to the average fishing enthusiast. These
are the same people that pay (excessive) fees to the state's
fisheries for such a privelage. 

Considering the small number of fleet vessels subject to the
proposed amendments, their contribution to ocean polution pales in
comparison to privately owned vessels and commercial container
ships stacked up along the Southern California coast.

Get real and support these small fleets. Imagine if even half of
the folks paying for access to these fleets buy small private
vessels to continue fishing. Pollution would be even worse.

I'm for a clean environment, but GET REAL. Literally.
Environmentalists are out of control.
