Dear Board,
As an avid angler and sport fisherman of 60+ years I am shocked at
the legislation proposed by Gov. Newsom. Even though I am an out of
state resident, I contribute large sums of money to the State of
California economy with the purchase of my licenses, hotels rooms,
restaurants, air travel, and fees associated with the cost of long
range fishing. I am not alone as an out of state resident who
participates in these activities.

Hundreds of millions of dollars and yes billions of dollars are at
jeopardy at imposing such restrictions on boat owners. In these
tough economic times California cannot afford to risk such a
devastating blow to its economy and California Boat Owners cannot
afford losing its livelihood.

I urge you to find another way to protect our environment without
putting so much and so many lives at risk.
