Comment | Making sport fishing boats comply to new regulations is all good and fine. However, there must be a means for them to comply. As of now, the tighter motor emission regulations can not be performed because there aren't any marine motors available on the market that they can purchase in order to comply. In addition to this, you are forcing a group of people to comply to emission regulations who represent less than a fraction of 1% of the emissions produced in the entire state of California. Shouldn't you focus your attention and regulations on the gross polluters in our state? Specifically the fossil fuel industry. If you want to solve the pollution problem, you go after the source, not the end-users. |
