To the California resources board and its members: there must be
less restrictive ways to achieve the reduction in omissions other
than to destroy the entire fishing fleet comprised of older boats.
We take almost 1000 children fishing every summer, the boat that we
use which is a commercial sport fishing boat, Will no longer be
available to us if your regulations go through as proposed.

The implications go much further than our little group and the
inner-city children that we help. All up and down the coast you
will be destroying a lot of private individuals and mom and pop
operations and you will be taking away the opportunity to continue
Sportfishing as it's grown up in California over many years.

I and many others connected to the Sportfishing industry here in
California, especially southern California are urging you to find
other options than the ones that you are proposing, which in some
cases are impossible to fulfill. You swore an oath to support the
constitution of the state of California and that would include
doing what's best Under all the circumstances.
