The proposed regulations will raise prices of tickets to an
unaffordable price If we can even afford to put these new engines
in our vessels. I have been doing this type of work my entire
working career. I planned on buying my own vessel and starting my
own business with it. With these new regulations that dream is no
longer profitable nor conceivable. The engines that would have to
be installed would take up a lot of deck space and the exhausts and
filters would pose a fire hazard. These regulations would put many
many people out of work with no other working experience as they
have done it their whole lives and provided for their family's this
way. It would close down close to all small businesses associated
with sport fishing. With no affordable access to the water many
other businesses not directly associated would also feel it. Tackle
and bait shops, rod company's tackle company's and so on. If this
goes through I do not know what I'll do for work.
