As an avid fisherman of both fresh and salt water I find this to be
a very sad and dark moment that the industry is facing. I know from
haven been on several of the sport fishing boats and know people
that work in the industry that they are continuously staying on top
of staying within the guidelines that are sit forth by the APCD,
Coast Guard and EPA. If this is passed will have such a great
impact far beyond just the sportfishing boats. It would impact the
entire local fishing industry that both supports and is supported
by this industry. Not to mention the memorable moments that
families have when they get to spend time together getting to do
something that they enjoy doing. The manufactures of all types of
engines are all looking at ways to improve on decreasing the impact
on air, ozone and marine life. By passing something like this would
have such an impact on San Diego and surrounding cities as if the
military was to pull out and leave San Diego. I pray for the
goodness all that would be affected by this that this does not
happen.
