Dear members of CARB,

As an ecologist I understand the dilemma ahead of us to address the
climate crisis we are facing. Asking the sportfishing fleet to
change practices is reasonable and should be done, but only when
the technology is available to make economic sense; without putting
hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue and the livelihoods of
thousands at risk. Sportfishing and/or whale watching is about
being on the ocean to further discover our world. To end that would
not only be detrimental to boat owners and crews, but to those of
us who need that mental break in our lives. Please take a
reasonable approach in addressing our air resources and climate
crisis. Thank you for your time.
