We cannot expect an industry that is operating on a paper thin
profit margin to shoulder expenses in such a way, or at such a
pace, as what is being proposed. This will effectively mean the end
of the ability of most people to experience the wonders of the
California coast, and thus the Pacific Ocean, while also putting
the hard working people of many coastal tourism related industries
and family owned and operated businesses past the point of being
able to operate successfully. There are other options, ways to both
protect our environment and the people that depend on it for their
livelihoods, which are more intelligent and better suited for all
parties involved. We need reasonable ideas from reasonable people
to prevail!
