| Comment | I urge the board to only adopt technology that can be safely and reasonably installed in existing vessels. Air quality is important but secondary to passenger safety and public access to the ocean. A stopped engine is the most dangerous situation for a boat, crew and passengers. The new diesel technologies area amazing, but the old engines are much more reliable (safe). Most boats will not be able to repower and will simply be outlawed. Please apply a different viewpoint on adopting any vessel regulations than the board has used for other commercial vehicles, it is a much different industry. |
