| Comment | Attn CARB, Gov. Newsom's proposal to require stringent emission restriction on passenger carrying vessels will severely cripple the ocean sportfishing business. Not only will it affect the boats them selves, but tackle shops, motels, restaurants. I am an advocate of alternative energy. However, singling out the sportfishing industry is superfluous. What about the airlines,cars,cruise ships, tankers and the trucking industry. Their use of fossil fuels far exceeds the sportfishing industry. Pick on the big boys first. Mom and Pop operations struggle as it is. |
