I have been a resident of California for most of my life and I
believe that the government has failed to protect and provide the
people what they deserve and are entitled to. I have watched my
benefits from being in the military and civil service for 47 years
erode to a disrespectful all time low while the congress and senate
gives themselves a pay raise. I believe the mandates on the sport
fishing industry are un-fair and without reason. I wonder why
someone would think that a wooden or fiberglass vessel would affect
air quality ! If not for some other reason besides capitol gain I
recommend leaving well enough alone. Sport fishing is a hobby to
many and a way of life to others. If the state requires the owners
of all wood and fiberglass boats to convert to vessels made of
metal I think sport fishing will be a thing of the past, not to
mention the loss of revenue to the state and leave only a lifetime
of memories to the general public.
