It has been brought to the attention of the Scuba diving community
that  the Newsom Administration has proposed passenger boat
regulations that require new engines and technology that is not
feasible from a safety, financial or operational standpoint.

Implementation of these regulations without a conscientious and
concerted effort to ensure that they will not have a destructive
and devastating effect on the entire boating industry in California
is unacceptable.   

Knowing how concerned the industry as a whole is to ensure not only
the safety of their customers but also to care for the
Oceans,waterways and general environment in which they operate it
makes no common sense to consider the draconian types of proposed
regulations without the direct input, advise and counseling from
business owners directly involved in this industry.  

As a scuba diver I know that the regulations being proposed would
absolutely destroy the entire scuba industry in California which
along with the destruction of the entire boating industry will have
an unrecoverable negative impact on the entire State 

Please do not move forward without involving the business owners
who can give the best,most timely data necessary to make reasonable
and responsible decisions
