| Comment | Dear Board, We are longtime residents of San Diego and support the local recreational Fishing boats. We go on 1/2 day and full day trips. We enjoy being out at sea and catching a few local fish. I have also participated in fishing trips donated to Wounded Warriors. We support the Rollo trips given to many youngsters who have never experienced fishing or the Pacific ocean. We hope that the board will look at the new regulations and help us keep a fleet of fishing boats. They are mostly family businesses that don't have large amounts of money to rebuild their boats.They all run diesel engines and don't create a large amount of pollution compared to many other users. Fishing boats are an important part of San Diego history and they are an important piece of the San Diego economy. Please help them survive. Claude Lubin |
