I urge CARB board members to stop proposed regulation requiring
boat owners to upgrade engines. As an Ocean fisherman, I depend on
the sportfishing industry to offer a recreation activity for myself
and family. If boat owners are forced to upgrade engines, it would
not be economical for my family to afford cost increases passed
along to customers. Cost in California are already the highest and
additional increases in outdoor recreation will force many to move
out of state.
Please do not force owners to upgrade and force economic tragedy to
boat owners and customers.
