| Comment | This new regulation will definitely ruin the sport and commercial fishing industry . It will definitely ruin sport fishing for all west coast fishermen. Also it would definitely bankrupt many related businesses and cost the state millions or maybe billions in tax revenues. Many kids who have just started fishing may never be able to experience fishing on a sport boat. I personally know many boat owners who would have to shut down their business because of this regulation and loose their only source of revenue.This regulation would certainly cause lots of revenue for the tourist industry in California, with the lost of sport fishing, whale watching,harbor cruises, and the lost of fresh locally caught fish in the restaurants in California. The fishing industry on the west coast in California has such a long history in the sport and commercial fishery dating back before the war. If this bill passes many lives will be ruined and business lost. PLEASE DO NOT PASS THIS BILL. |
