I never thought that I would be writing a letter to keep our right
to access the ocean. Due to the rules that have been proposed by
CARB to retrofit the boat's to zero emissions would be to costly
with out the technology available and would be putting many of
these family businesses out of business. Not to mention tourism
tackle shops dive shops and businesses encompassing the harbor and
support of the operation involving the economy to access the open
water. From a young age our family outings on open party boat's to
the fairy boat's to Catalina Island and Whale watching was the
foundation for my passion for the open water. Later to obtaining
dive training and buying tickets on dive boat's then buying my
private boat while becoming a member of my local yacht club. This
legislation could break up a 20 year's of charter fishing with
friends and now generations that attend. Please reconsider a more
reasonable solution to keep our California experience on the water.
