To whom it may concern. Good intentions do not make for good
policy. The proposed regulations concerning watercraft will
decimate an entire industry and severely limit access to California
Coastal waters for recreation, quiet enjoyment, sport, and even
harvesting seafood. We should enact sensible regulations that
protect our environment, but they should be methodical, counting
the cost to livelihoods and their impact spread across the public.
Is the benefit to what you are proposing worth the financial impact
to a few and accessibility to the public? I think not and urge you
to reconsider this bill.
