I am the CEO of the San Diego Anglers Foundation, a 501c(3)
nonprofit that uses the recreational sportfishing fleet in
California to take Wounded Warriors fishing. Lots of these guys and
gals suffer with PTSD and have attempted lots of suicides and we
have been told that taking these people fishing is outstanding
therapy. That is the reason why we spent the time and money to get
the 501c(3) because these wounded warriors lives are worth it.    
  Now I hear that the recreational sportfishing fleet existence is
in jeopardy because of CARB. Do not shut down the sportfishing
fleet. The lives of future wounded warriors could be at stake. The
most requested outside event that the warriors ask for is fishing.
Being out on the ocean with fellow warriors is relaxing, bonding
and very therapeutic for the guys. Many of the guys have tears in
their eyes as they get off the boat, thanking us for the wonderful
day away from their demons in their heads. They call it a
"vacation". 
    There is no substitute for what we do. I do not think the
bureacrats in Sacramento understand this when they get these ideas.
