Freight trains rumble through the City of Fresno in the middle of
the night at 1 am and 4 am blowing horns and whistles disturbing a
quarter of the residents of the City. The trains should slow down
at night. Electric engines are quieter than diesel. Several doctors
of integrative medicine link inadequate sleep to heart disease,
Alzheimer's, and autoimmune diseases.
