Comment | I am of the opinion that the test fuel as specified in TP-512 should be CE10. As such it will then harmonize with the new EPA regulations. CE10 is a standardized test fuel and easily obtainable. Also within TP-512 as writted it is unclear whether the fuel hose and primer bulb must be tested as an assembly or if they can be tested separately. I'm in favor of the later. The individual components should be certified separately by the respective manufacturers. The requirement to test 6 specimens is excessive. The SAE J30 and J1527 standards only require 3 specimens and this is satisfactory with the new EPA rules. Thank you |
