Please adopt the proposed new regulation for in-use off-road diesel
vehicles in California!  This new rule will reduce air pollution
from California's construction equipment. As the first rule of its
kind in the nation, it will set an important precedent that could
not come at a better time.

As you know, construction equipment is the second largest source
of diesel pollution in the state, accounting for 20% of
particulate matter and 16% of smog-forming Nitrogen Oxides (NOx).
These pollutants are two of the biggest pollution hazards for
public health in California and throughout the country. The
construction industry should no longer be exempt from air quality
controls!

We ask you to please support stronger air standards
for California's construction equipment!
